The Saga of Peter the Woodsman by A. Hansley Jr

The Saga of Peter the Woodsman by A. Hansley Jr. is a classic tale of myth and magic, sword and sorcery. We first meet siblings Alex and Wes in modern times, taking the bus home from school. When a strange hooded figure boards and leads the bus in the wrong direction, they immediately jump off. Lost and cold in dark woods, they seek shelter from a sudden intense storm. At the only cottage they find, an old man takes them in and begins telling an incredible epic story that lasts all night and takes them into another world.Peter is a simple woodsman, hard-working like his father and grandfather before him. One day while walking with his mule, Peter meets a spirit named Dualla. The spirit brings Peter to Helicon, the mount of light. Peter realizes that in Helicon, his mule becomes a mighty stallion, and his axe radiates with magic as though filled with pure energy. Peter, too, is transformed. He meets Calliope, muse of inspiration, and her spirit guards. Calliope welcomes Peter, but calls him Pendragon.A wise and powerful wizard named Mystagog tells Peter why the spirits have given him total power and the title of Pendragon the Champion. … Read more

Will Dead Sara Wake Up LA Music?

I was so impressed by Dead Sara’s last performance at the Whisky a Go Go, that I thought I would catch them again. (Could I be right? Is Dead Sara LA’s next gem?)So I went to the Knitting Factory, Saturday, February 3, 2007, but I didn’t get there until 10:00pm. A number of people told me they liked the band that just played, The Vespertines, but I can’t attest to much else myself. Catch them on MySpace if you are interested.First band up after I arrived, THE AMNESTY ( You can hear them on MySpace under Connor Ragan if you are interested.) They seem to have a good number of fans in the audience. (They were sold out.) At first they didn’t seem bad. Good music, but the lead singer does need a few vocal lessons, though he did have a good stage presence, and communicated to his audience well. But, after about 3 songs I started getting a little bored and antsy. Songs weren’t distinct, vocals weren’t good. These guys may have potential but they need a little more practice. Their MySpace music is much better than this live performance was, though even on MySpace it is evident the … Read more

The Music and Theme Songs of Wwe

I can remember back to the early good days of wrestling. Back when wrestling really started to explode and take off in its World Wrestling Federation (WWF) days. It was when Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage and Andre the Giant were wrestling. Gimmick wrestlers like Iron Sheik, Million Dollar Man and Nikolai Volkov were there as well. There were diverse characters who stood out and each had a story to tell. And they each came to the ring with powerful and different theme music which made them easily identified and cheered or jeered.Hulk Hogan has perhaps the most famous of wrestling songs with “Real American”. According to info found at Wikipedia, Hogan originally used the Survivor song Eye of the Tiger which was from the Rocky movie’s soundtrack. Hogan of course had made a cameo in the Rocky 3 movie. Hulk later started using the tune we all know, “Real American” as performed by Rick Derringer. The song became synonomous with Hulkamania and fans everywhere continue to cheer to it. Somehow fans can’t help but feel goosebumps when that tune comes on, whether they are at an arena or watching a WWE event at home. It’s classic and timeless … Read more

Sure you want high resolution and a good sized screen, but no one wants the bulk. Entertainment centers thrive on being compact.Whether you prefer them separate or enjoy a TV DVD combo, you have many to choose from. There are definite advantages to purchasing a TV DVD combo.
